    FRAMINGHAM, MA - July 18, 2006 -- GTC Biotherapeutics, Inc. ("GTC", Nasdaq: GTCB) announced today that it has obtained agreements from new and existing institutional investors, including William Harris Investors, Inc., to purchase 12 million shares of GTC's common stock at a price of $1.38 per share, the closing bid price for the common stock immediately before entering into the binding agreements for the transaction.
    On July 18, 2006, GTC Biotherapeutics, Inc. ("GTC" or the "Registrant") entered into Subscription Agreements with certain investors pursuant to which the Registrant agreed to sell a total of 12,000,000 units consisting of 12,000,000 shares of common stock (the "Shares") and warrants to purchase up to 7,800,000 shares of common stock (the "Warrants") in a registered direct offering. The Warrants have a term of 10 years and an exercise price of $1.4145 per share. The Units are being issued at a purchase price of $1.46125 per Unit for total gross proceeds of approximately $17.5 million, before placement agent's fees and offering expenses. All of the Shares and Warrants are being offered and sold by the Registrant. The offering is expected to close on or about July 21, 2006.

    Facts for investors to consider when looking at GTCB:

    1)European Commission approval of ATryn is a done deal: ATryn goes to market in 2007 in 25 E.U. countries! GTC stated ATryn® is a $500 million to $700 market worldwide.
    Between 2000 & 2001 this stock traded at near $50 a share on this hope! Think what will happen when word & profits start!

    2)Domestically the U.S. will approve ATryn: GTC will use results from a study reviewed by the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use to gain U.S.approval, as well as data from the Phase III study in the U.S., to apply to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
    Check that link its outdated meaning the U.S. approval is now close.

    3)The LEO Pharma A/S collaboration agreement includes $73 million (USD) in potential milestone payments to GTC for meeting regulatory, clinical and sales goals. These payments include a total of
    $5 million for achieving approval of ATryn® for the hereditary antithrombin deficiency indication in Europe, with $2 million of this total paid upon signing of the
    agreement. GTC will be responsible for production of ATryn® and will receive a transfer price for all product used by LEO. GTC will also receive a royalty on net
    sales. LEO will be responsible for sales and marketing of ATryn® in all indications for the agreed territories as well as the clinical development for acquired
    antithrombin deficiency indications. GTC retains all rights to ATryn®.

    4)In 2007 ATryn(r) will be the single available antithrombin product that is produced by recombinant biotechnology & not derived from the human blood supply.
    Antithrombin currently can only be made from other humans blood supply & is to costly & of limited supply. GTCB's method of production is cheap & will keep
    pace with an supply the demand.

    5)In the broader picture according to the market research firm Kalorama potential of transgenic production of biopharmaceuticals is huge and could reap sales
    of more than $12bn by 2012 --->

    6)Second drug on fast track in the U.S. ---> UPDATE - Pharming's rabbit-derived drug on fast track in U.S.

    7)GTC Biotherapeutics upgraded by Rodman & Renshaw

    8)2007 is the year GTCB starts making the money and no longer has cocerns for income. Revenue will be the word in 2007 and with much more potential.

    9) 2.40 - $4 a share late this year easy. 2007 we should see from $8 to $25 a share.

    Type of stock: You could build your money supply on with about zero potential to lose at this price!
    This is a buy with money you can hold stock long swing not day trade!

    het enige punt bij bovenstaaande opsommingen dat ter discussie kan staan is punt 9,
