   Accsys to expand Accoya® wood distribution in UK and Ireland
   
   
   To meet the rapidly growing demand for Accoya® wood in the UK and Irish markets,
   Titan Wood Ltd. ("Titan" or "the Company"), the wholly owned subsidiary of Accsys
   Technologies PLC ("Accsys"), is to expand its chain of distribution partners. The Company is
   currently in discussions with a number of additional distribution partners including, Timbmet
   Group, Brooks Bros. Ltd., and James Latham plc to further expand the availability of
   Accoya® wood across these markets. These will be in addition to its current distribution
   partners which include International Timber, Arnold Laver Timber World, Abbey Wood
   Timber, Vincent Timber and Russwood Ltd.
   
   Additional distribution strategies are also under review to provide added service levels to the
   joinery, cladding, decking, and structural customer base throughout the region.
   
   As part of this expansion strategy, Titan Wood will continue its long standing relationship
   with BSW Timber, but without an exclusive import and distribution agreement.
   
   David Popejoy, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Titan Wood commented, "The
   opportunities for Accoya® wood continue to expand in each market we enter and we are
   keen to work with a number of partners to fulfill the potential of this outstanding product.

   Accsys Technologies PLC ("Accsys" or "the Company") today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Titan Wood Limited ("Titan Wood"), and Medite Europe Limited ("Medite") have signed a joint development agreement to commercialise an economically viable, non-toxic, and stable medium density fibreboard ("MDF") panel made from Tricoya® wood elements ("Licensed Products").
   
   Under the agreement Medite is granted an exclusive license to develop, manufacture, market, distribute and sell Licensed Products within the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland (the "Territory"). The terms of the agreement reflect the status of Medite and Titan Wood as partners in the commercial development of the technology following commercialization of the Licensed Products.
   
   Additionally, Titan Wood agrees to facilitate the location, design, project management, plant commissioning, training of production staff and operating advice regarding the plant envisaged to produce Tricoya® wood elements. Titan Wood will also promote the development, distribution and sale of Licensed Products in the Territory.
   
   Titan Wood and Medite have also agreed to enter into a License Option Agreement regarding the use of Titan's proprietary acetylation technology in respect of oriented strand board ("OSB"). Exercise of the Option will grant Medite a technology license with exclusive rights to develop, manufacture, market and sell OSB panels made from Tricoya® wood elements within the Territory.
   
   Titan Wood's technology, based on wood acetylation, is a process which increases the amount of 'acetyl' molecules in wood, thereby changing its physical properties. The environmentally responsible process protects wood from rot and significantly improves the dimensional stability and durability of the composite without making it toxic. This will enable the Licensed Products to be used in new and exciting applications, including those that are in high moisture areas, especially outdoors.
   
   Medite has been a major-player in the European MDF market since 1976 and has exhibited a consistent commitment to research and development. As a result, Medite has established itself as a leading innovator in the MDF market with a matchless range of added value high specification panels, each one with specific properties for particular applications.
   
   Gerry Britchfield, Managing Director of Medite parent division, Coillte Panel Products, explained, "Medite has a long history of leading the panel products industry and prides itself on being an innovator and pioneer. We've been closely monitoring the development of Titan Wood's technology as it is a natural marriage with our current product line. After an extensive period of joint research and development, we are pleased to officially partner with Titan Wood in introducing the world's most durable MDF product to international markets."

    AMSTERDAM (Dow Jones)--Accsys Technologies plc maakt dinsdag bekend dat zijn volledige dochter Titan Wood ltd een licentie-overeenkomst heeft getekend met Medite Europe ltd.
    
    De samenwerking zal zich richten op de verkoop van duurzame niet-giftige MDF-platen ('medium density fibreboard') gemaakt met Accsys' Tricoya elementen. Onder de voorwaarden van de overeenkomst krijgt Medite de exclusieve rechten om de platen te verkopen in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Ierland.
    
    Titan Wood zal faciliteren in locatie, ontwerp, management en training van personeel ten aanzien van de geplande fabriek waar de Tricoya elementen zullen worden gemaakt.
    
    Tevens zijn de partijen een optie overeengekomen die Medite het recht geeft op een productielicentie voor zogenaamd oriented strand board ('OSB') platen van Tricoya elementen in het VK en Ierland.

    Ik heb niet het idee dat ie erg hard zal gaan stijgen.
    
    Een heele rg mooi, en duurzaam produkt met enige schaarste en toch een sterke toekomst.
    Ik ben van nature optimist, maar in de huidige markt die op slot gehouden wordt lijkt het me sterk dat ie snel zal gaan stijgen.
    
    Een houtleverancier is toch zwaar afhankelijk van afnemers, bouwsector bijvoorbeeld ? En meubelboeren.
    
    En beiden staan stil nu en hebben nog overvoorraad.
    
    Als alle bouwsectoren weer oppakken gaat ie wel denk ik. Maar vooralsnog verwacht ik voor de rest van het jaar geen spactaculaire dingen. Omzetverhoging van het afgelopen kwartaal zegt daarin ook helemaal niets.
    
    Nu instappen kan denk ik geen kwaad, maar echt wel even wachten op resultaat.

    Ik denk niet dat ie vandaag nog veel gaat stijgen. Volgens mij wordt er afgewacht op de cijfers (welke volgens mij deze maand ergens moeten komen)

    Ik denk dat juist leveranciers betere en goedkopere produkten willen gaan produceren. Daar men juist besparingen kan doorvoeren door gebruik te maken van goedkoper behandeld hout.
    
    Accsys staat weer in de top 5 van stijgers.

    AMSTERDAM (Dow Jones)--Titan Wood bv, een volledige dochter van Accsys Technologies plc, heeft de productiecapaciteit met meer dan 33% verhoogd. Dat meldt het bedrijf actief op het gebied van milieuwetenschap en techniek dinsdag.
    
    De faciliteit van Titan Wood had aanvankelijk een capaciteit van 30.000 kubieke meter. Door een combinatie van fundamentele procesverbetering en optimalisering van bestaande processen kan in Arnhem nu meer van 40.000 m3 per jaar worden geproduceerd.
    
    Hoewel de nadruk bij Titan zal blijven liggen op de licensering van de technologie, zal de uitbreiding van 10.000 kubieke meter Accoya-hout, op termijn, helpen om aan de aanhoudend groeiende vraag te voldoen, aldus Accsys.
    
    Accoya wordt geproduceerd door middel van een gepatenteerd proces, dat duurzaam hout zoals grenen en niet duurzaam hardhout omvormt tot een 'nieuwe houtsoort'.

    Ik moet zeggen dat ik dit bericht toch eigenlijk wel heel positief vind. Met name het gedeelte "aanhoudend groeiende vraag".

    Issue of Ordinary Shares and Total Voting Rights
    
    Accsys announces that 700,000 new ordinary shares have been issued and allotted to GEM Global Yield Fund Limited ("GEM"), at a price of EUR0.753, raising a total of EUR527,100. The share issue is in accordance with the terms of the agreement with GEM announced in March 2009 (the "Agreement") and partially draws on the EUR20m line of credit secured thereunder.
    
    Accordingly, application has been made for the 700,000 new ordinary shares to be admitted to trading on AIM and it is expected that admission will take place on 1 July 2009.
    
    The new ordinary shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares of the Company.
    
    In connection with the GEM drawdown, Accsys has also issued warrants to subscribe for a total of 3,120,000 new ordinary shares. The warrants will be exercisable for a period of three years from 30 June 2009 at an exercise price of EUR1.00 per share.
    
    In conformity with 5.6.1 of the Disclosure and Transparency Rules, the Company notifies the market of the following:
    
    The issued share capital of the Company consists of 156,370,302 ordinary shares of EUR0.01 each with voting rights. No ordinary shares are held in treasury.
