I'm sure Cox still has loyalty toward Henri and Genzyme.
If Atryn is approved by the FDA I find it hard not to believe that Henri won't bring GTC back into Genzyme. Obviously,
approval by the FDA opens the door for many more drugs to move forward using transgenics.
Having been involved with Genzyme during its' inception I knew
the passion Henri had for GTC and find it hard to believe he
won't try to purchase it again. Remember when GENZ let GTC go
they needed financing and didn't want the GTC cash burn on their books reducing earnings.
I must admit I haven't been as close to Genzyme since I retired several years ago and Henri's priorities might have changed. Knowing Henri I doubt it!
I still believe GTC will be part of Genzyme, when and at what price is the question?
I am long both GTC and Genzyme.

Cox was brought in to replace Sandra Lehrman by his former
employer Genzyme. He was about to be unemployed after the
Aronex merged.
Genzyme still has input with GTC and shares some overhead.
The reason Henri has never developed a product using GTC's
technology is he was afraid it would take to long to be approved by the FDA. (if ever) Once Atryn is approved in the USA the door is open for Henri to move in.
Genzyme might also have an interest in CD-137.
Genzyme can gamble now and buy GTC on the cheap or wait till things pan out and pay 5 or 6.
Your guess is as good as mine on what will happen.
