   Zeker komt dat China verhaal weer goed.
   Die malloot zegt maar wat én zijn experts zeggen van papa je hebt het toch fout denken wij.
   Oké dan draaien we het grotendeels voor 90 dagen terug.
   Of zal hij met voorkennis zich nog meer schat hemeltje rijk hebben gemaakt zodat die malloot toch niet zo dom is zoals menigeen denkt?
   
   Zijn eigen stemmers die wat spaargeld hebben om te beleggen en op deze manier de nek omdraaien is wanstaltig.
   Zal zeker zo zijn met velen wereldwijd.

   Reuters meldt dat Tan via Walden International en andere entiteiten heeft geïnvesteerd in honderden Chinese techbedrijven, waaronder minstens acht met banden met het PLA. Hoewel dit niet illegaal is, baart de omvang van de betrokkenheid zorgen over de nationale veiligheid, aangezien Intel belangrijke Amerikaanse defensiecontracten heeft en concurreert in de productie van geavanceerde chips. Intel zegt dat er onthullingen zijn gedaan en dat eventuele conflicten adequaat worden afgehandeld, maar critici beweren dat zijn nauwe financiële banden met China Intels rol als betrouwbare nationale chipleverancier compliceren.

   Als ik dit Chinese artikel van 21 maart zo lees, dan komt Reuters er een beetje laat mee.
   Daar komt bij, dit was natuurlijk allemaal al lang bekend bij Intel. Voor mij dus geen reden om argwaan te hebben.

   For Intel’s board and investors, Tan represents something of a savior: Intel’s previous CEO Patrick Gelsinger resigned last December after the company posted a $16.6 billion quarterly loss — the biggest in Intel’s history. Tan, who was previously chief executive of Cadence Design Systems, a chip design software company, himself resigned from Intel’s board last summer, having privately expressed frustration about the company’s contract manufacturing business. His appointment is seen by many as a necessary antidote to Gelsinger’s slow pace. After naming Tan CEO on March 12, Intel’s stock rose 25 percent, though it has since tapered a bit.
   
   But while many industry insiders view Tan as Intel’s best chance to restore America’s chipmaking capability at a critical time, he is also a surprising choice because of his longstanding and prolific investments in the semiconductor industry in China, America’s chief rival.

   I would interpret the tariff exemptions primarily as an attempt to mitigate the impact on electronics and consumers more than as a signal of a US-China deal. The exempted categories cover about 22% of US imports from China.
