    Voor belangrijke structurele infrastructuur projecten (o.a.dijken, bruggen en sluizen) vraagt Overheid bij voorkeur Nederlandse bedrijven.
    Vergeet ook verduurzaming woningen en vernieuwing van het elektriciteitsnetwerkenniet. Aan de kabels wordt keihard gewerkt . Ook op rioolgebied is veel werk. Aan dijken is volop werk. Tot nu toe mis ik n het rivierengebied Bam als mede uitvoerder. Daar worden vele miljarden aan uitgegeven.

    BAM Construction has made significant progress on the new EU-funded Pembroke Dock Marine project
    Construction on the Pembroke Dock Marine project began last August. It is being developed as part of the Swansea Bay City Deal, which is funded by the EU.

    The Port of Milford Haven is the UK’s leading energy port and Wales’s busiest port, overseeing about 20% of the nation’s oil and gas maritime trade.

    The energy-related businesses along the Waterway are key drivers in Pembrokeshire’s economy, attracting investments and supporting over 4,000 jobs.

    The eco-friendly port will offer new opportunities for marine businesses
    The port slipway has undergone significant expansion, widening to 68 meters and extending further into the sea.

    This provides more flexibility for developers and marine businesses to test new marine energy devices, launch and recover vessels, and offer maintenance and offshore operators in the Celtic Sea.

    By Spring 2024, the expanded slipway will cover an area of 11,352 square meters, roughly equivalent to one and a half football fields.

    To create more space, materials from the slipway expansion are being recycled and repurposed.

    New workboat pontoons are being installed opposite the existing ferry terminal. These pontoons will offer both short and long-term berthing options for workboats and barges.

    Positioned between Quay 1 and the new slipway, the pontoons will be ready for use from Autumn 2023.

    “These improvements will significantly enhance the facilities and services we can provide to the marine and renewables sectors. We’re drawing in the growing renewables industry due to the exciting prospects for floating offshore wind projects in the Celtic Sea,” said Steve Edwards, the commercial director at the Port of Milford Haven.

    “The Port’s team and partners, including BAM Nuttall, the Walters Group, and R&M Williams, are maintaining the project’s progress, and I’m confident that we’ll attract noteworthy and innovative companies looking to establish their presence at Pembroke Port,” he continued.

    The Pembroke Dock Marine Port will feature a range of commercial spaces
    Four new annexes attached to the historic Sunderland Hangars at Gate 1 are nearly finished. These modern spaces will serve as offices and workshops strategically located for companies in the renewable and marine sectors.

    The annexes are in their final stages of completion and will be ready for use this summer. These spaces provide both one and two-story office areas and workshops, with two contracts currently in negotiation.

    “The City Deal is making significant progress through the Pembroke Dock Marine project by growing the economy and creating employment opportunities with a particular focus on the energy sector and renewable technologies,” said Rob Stewart, chairman of the Swansea Bay City Deal’s Joint Committee.

    “The work that R&M Williams and BAM Nuttall are completing in the Hangar Annexes, pontoons and slipway will regenerate Pembroke Port as well as support the blue-green energy economy, which is fundamental for the future of Southwest Wales,” he concluded.
