Dat zijn "domme en ongegronde fantasieën", aldus Peskov volgens persagentschap Ria Novosti.
   
   Het Russische en Wit-Russische leger houden maandag wel gemeenschappelijke manoeuvres. Het gaat om een gezamenlijke Russisch-Wit-Russische eenheid, waartoe zo'n 9.000 Russische soldaten behoren.

    Vergeet niet dat Rusland ook nog een eigen wapenindustrie heeft, suske ! Dat China niet te vertrouwen valt weten we al langer ,maar heb jij een bewijs dat ze ook wapens leveren aan Rusland ?

    Rusland heeft nog reserves voor vier grootschalige raketaanvallen, zegt Kiev
    
    Rusland heeft nog een voorraad aan raketten voor hoogstens vier grootschalige aanvallen op Oekraïne. Dat heeft Oleksij Danilov, secretaris van de Oekraïense Nationale Veiligheidsraad, maandag gezegd in een interview met een online krant. Hij schetst daarmee het meest positieve scenario.
    
    Een goede maand geleden ging Danilov er al van uit dat Moskou nog capaciteit had voor maximaal drie tot vier grootschalige raketaanvallen. Sindsdien heeft Moskou al drie grote aanvallen uitgevoerd met telkens zeker 70 raketten. Volgens Oekraïense schattingen is Rusland in staat om ondanks de westerse sancties elke maand ongeveer 70 raketten en kruisraketten te produceren.

    Zelenski vraagt westerse leiders breed scala aan wapensystemen

    A Russian tank commander deliberately attacked another Russian position in the Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine this summer following a battlefield argument, a major new report said.
    
    The incident, part of a sweeping investigation by The New York Times, is one of the clearest examples of the vicious in-fighting that has plagued President Vladimir Putin's military throughout the war.
    
    A Russian drone operator who said he witnessed the episode told the paper that a Russian tank commander drove his T-90 tank toward a group of Russian national guard troops, fired at their checkpoint and blew it up.
    
    "Those types of things happen there," the soldier said, adding that he has since fled Russia.
    
    The national guard, or Rosgvardia, is not part of the Russian armed forces, and reports to Putin directly.
    
    That rift was one of several at play in the Russian war effort. Other power centers include the mercenary Wagner group, led by Putin ally Yevgeny Prigozhin, and the forces led by Ramzan Kadyrov, the warlord who leads Russia's semi-autonomous region of Chechnya.
    
    The Russian military appears to have limited coordination with any of them, officials said, according to the paper.
    
    "There was no unified command, there was no single headquarters, there was no single concept and there was no unified planning of actions and command," retired Russian General Leonid Ivashov told the paper. "It was destined to be a defeat."
    
    The friction between these factions has spilled out into the open at times, including when Kadyrov and other Putin allies criticized the Russian military's retreat from a city in Ukraine in October.
    
    Kadyrov said at the time that the "incompetent" general that should be "sent to the front to wash his shame off with blood," per The New York Times.
    
    Prigozhin echoed the sentiment, the paper said, commenting about Russian military generals: "Send all these pieces of garbage barefoot with machine guns straight to the front."

    Russian forces have enough missiles for two or three massive attacks on Ukraine’s territory, the Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, Oleksiy Danilov, said in an interview with the Ukrainska Pravda online newspaper on Dec. 19.
    
    “If we count the massive attacks that we have already had, they (Russians) have enough (missiles) left for at most two or three, perhaps, four attacks,” he said.
    
    “But then they’ll be completely left without missiles, which is unacceptable, because they may face completely different challenges and they should have at least some reserves left.”
    
    According to Danilov, Russia has long passed the limit of the standards for the use of missiles. However, the Russians still have enough S-300 missiles in their arsenal.

    Canada starts first process to seize and pursue the forfeiture of assets of sanctioned Russian oligarch

    The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today announced that Canada will seize and pursue the forfeiture of US $26 million from Granite Capital Holdings Ltd., a company owned by Roman Abramovich—a Russian oligarch sanctioned under the Special Economic Measures (Russia) Regulations.
    
    This is the first time that Canada is using its new authorities that allow the government to pursue the seizure of assets belonging to sanctioned persons. This means that Minister Joly will now consider making a court application to forfeit the asset permanently to the Crown. If forfeited, the proceeds that are generated will be able to be used for the reconstruction of Ukraine and compensation to victims of the Putin regime’s illegal and unjustifiable invasion.
    
    Canada is the first G7 country to implement such measures, demonstrating its strong commitment to Ukraine, its reconstruction and holding accountable those who have profited from and supported President Putin’s regime.
