    Zo dat was even een spike omhoog voor Cliff van -12 naar -4 % en trekt de gehele
    sector omhoog,waarschijnlijk een minder slechte outlook,

    Sixth Circuit Dismisses ERISA Stock Drop Action Against Cliffs Natural Resources

    The Sixth Circuit affirmed the dismissal of ERISA stock drop claims by participants in the Cliffs Natural Resources’ 401(k) Plan. The participants alleged fiduciary breach claims based on public and non-public information arising out of the collapse in iron ore prices that caused the company’s stock price to decline 95%. With respect to the public information claim, the Court held that a “fiduciary’s failure to investigate the merits of investing in a publicly traded company” is not the type of “special circumstance” that can support a claim based on public information, and that plaintiffs also must plead “what, if anything, the fiduciaries might’ve gleaned from publicly available information that would undermine reliance on the market price.”

    With respect to the non-public information claim, the Court rejected plaintiffs’ allegations that a prudent fiduciary could not have concluded that disclosing the inside information or halting additional contributions would do more harm than good. In so ruling, the Court determined that the plan fiduciaries could have concluded that divulging inside information would have caused the company’s stock price to collapse, further harming participants already invested in the fund. The Court also determined that closing the fund without explanation might be even more harmful: “It signals that something may be deeply wrong inside a company but doesn’t provide the market with information to gauge the stock’s true value.” The case is Saumer v. Cliffs Natural Resources, Inc., No. 16-3449 (6th Cir. Apr. 7, 2017).

    Grote partijen hebben hun winst binnen, nu terug opwaarts?
    Kan toch niet anders dan met alle nieuwe koersdoelen, goed nieuws voor de staalsector en dan ook nog de IO dat up gaat.

    Ik zie dat er in een tijdsbestek van 3 uur, 5 verschillende in claims gespecialiseerde advocatenbedrijven, de aandeelhouders van US Steel oproepen om zich bij hun aan te sluiten.

    Duidelijk is dat de Amerikaanse law firms hun kans schoon zien om het aangeschoten wild genaamd "US Steel" de komende jaren lastig te maken.

    Snap het ook wel. Recent allemaal hele gunstige prognoses afgeven als management die nu vd 1 op de andere dag gehalveerd worden.

    P.s.: het vreemde is dat koersen van US STeel, AM, CLiffs etc ook zo ongeveer drie uur gelden plots opveerden (voor zolang het duurt).

    As of April 20th, 95 of the Q1 2017 S&P 500 companies that reported, 71 that beat expectations, while 16 missed expectations and 8 met expectations. A whopping 95 beat on sales expectations. The VIX was 10.85 up +-0.84 % as it normally trades inversely with the stock indexes. US Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis President James Bullard stated that interest rates could remain “exceptionally low” for some time as he has not seen any inflationary pressure. The Fed had previously mentioned that they do not see a great improvement in the unemployment rate. They still forecast 4.5 % to 4.4 % next year while January’s was 4.8 %. Yellen considers the current monetary policy as moderately accommodative. Fed Chair Janet Yellen is in Office until January 2018 and vows to stay her term until whereby the new administration may make changes or appoint a new chair.

    Goede cijfers gaan het zijn bij AM.
    Daarbij gaan ze waarschijnlijk hun schulden nog eens fors hebben afgebouwd. Het verleden heeft ons getoond dat dat door de aandeelhouders graag gezien wordt!
    Ik blijf erbij dat er binnen een dikke maand €10 op de borden gaat staan, als de IO boven de $60 blijft.
