    Aperam, Arvedi and Marcegaglia to create a consortium to pursue Inoxum

    Aperam SA and Marcegaglia SpA announced that they have signed a memorandum of understanding to create an Italian Joint Venture aimed at participating in the sale process of the stainless steel producer Acciai Speciali Terni S.p.A, currently being divested by Outokumpu Oyj.

    Under the terms of the MoU, Aperam would be majority shareholder and operator of the Joint Venture while Arvedi and Marcegaglia would each have equal minority shareholdings.

    The consortium's combined experience and resources would be drawn upon to improve the competitiveness and profitability of the Italian mill in the European market for flat stainless steel products.

    The price range of stainless steel plates has gradually widened in the European region last week. Apream expected that the market demand would go up in next few months because of the rebound of auto industry and production cut by a fire accident at its Gueugnon plant.

    A Nordic distributor said that the distinct price policies are adopted by different steel mills so far. It is reported that the base price of stainless steel 304 cold rolled sheet with thickness 2mm for March is about EUR 1090 to EUR 1150 per tonne without extra alloy surcharge, higher than the previous week's at EUR 1090 to EUR 1120 per tonne

    Ik zit er ook in, denk, gezien de op en neer gaande beweging van dit aandeel en dat het nu relatief laaggewaardeerd lijkt geschikt s voor korte ritjes van 50 cent tot 100 cent. Zou het prettig vinden om elkaar op de hoogte te houden van mooie instapmomenten en ook uitstapmomenten. Ik hoop rond 10,80 weer uit te stappen en dan een nieuwe kans af te wachten.
