   TomTom ziet sterke groei Business Solutions
   AMSTERDAM (AFN) - TomTom Business Solutions ziet het aantal gebruikers van zijn vlootmanagementsystemen dit jaar met zo'n 30 tot 40 procent stijgen. Dat zei directeur Thomas Schmidt van het onderdeel dat zich richt op de zakelijke markt maandag.
   
   "We verwachten net als andere jaren twee keer sneller te groeien dan de markt", stelde Schmidt. "Wij profiteren juist van de crisis, want bedrijven willen dan kosten besparen. Dat kan met onze systemen."
   
   Business Solutions is een snelgroeiend onderdeel van TomTom. Terwijl de totale omzet van het bedrijf vorig jaar met zo'n 16 procent op jaarbasis daalde, groeide Business Solutions met 20 procent. Het onderdeel was vorig jaar goed voor 5 procent van de totale omzet.
   
   Nog niet volwassen
   
   De markt voor vlootmanagementsystemen is in tegenstelling tot de navigatiekastjes voor consumenten nog niet volwassen, legde Schmidt uit. Van alle commerciële auto's heeft slechts 5 tot 20 procent een vlootmanagementsysteem aan boord, afhankelijk van de markt. Met zo'n systeem kan onder meer worden bijgehouden waar de verschillende auto's van een bedrijf zich bevinden en wat hun rijgedrag is. Dat zorgt volgens TomTom niet alleen voor een lagere benzinerekening. Ook kunnen bedrijven hun vloot en dus hun personeel efficiënter inzetten, waardoor er op personeelskosten kan worden bespaard.
   
   In zowel Europa als de Verenigde Staten rijden volgens de directeur grofweg 30 miljoen commerciële auto's rond. In de Verenigde Staten heeft 5 miljoen een dergelijk systeem aan boord en in Europa nog maar 2,4 miljoen. TomTom telt nu 200.000 aangesloten vlootmanagementsystemen.
   
   Gefragmenteerd
   
   De concurrentie is volgens Schmidt gefragmenteerd op deze markt. "Er zijn meer dan duizend spelers, maar weinig die internationaal opereren. We concurreren op elke markt met andere lokale spelers. Sommigen richten zich bijvoorbeeld alleen op de transportsector, zoals Transics in België."
   
   In het transport en de logistieke sector ligt het gebruik van vlootmanagementsystemen volgens de directeur hoger dan bij de dienstverleners, namelijk rond de 40 tot 50 procent. "Bij dienstverleners zoals energiebedrijven is nog weinig aandacht voor kostenbesparingen via deze weg, omdat hun vloot een kostenpost is en geen kernactiviteit zoals bij transportbedrijven."

   Amsterdam, 19 June 2012 – TomTom is rapidly expanding its unique local search engine, TomTom Places. The service has recently been introduced in Sweden, Austria, Norway, Spain and Ireland and is now available in 10 countries across Europe.
   TomTom Places is available online, on mobile as a free app for Android or iPhone, and integrated into TomTom navigation devices and in-dash navigation systems. Beyond the search, it lets users call or directly plan a route to the place they have found, taking into account the latest real time traffic reports from TomTom HD Traffic.
   “More than 50% of all local searches are now carried out on a mobile device,” says Rogier van Egmond, VP TomTom Places. “As a result, it’s very important to us that TomTom Places is quick and easy to use on TomTom products. People ask for directions to a nearby place rather than the address and that’s exactly what TomTom Places provides them.”
   In the Netherlands, TomTom has strengthened its restaurant database by a new partnership agreement with IENS Independent Index. “It is within our strategy to make our restaurant content available on all relevant mobile media. Obviously, TomTom was always high on our list of potential partners. We're thrilled that TomTom users can now easily find good restaurants while they're on the road.” said Bas Lens Marketing Manager IENS.
   In addition to geographical expansion, 20 million new Points of Interest have been added to the service in the last 8 months. While there were 5.5 million POIs in October 2011, there are 26 million today.

   Langzaam omhoog vandaag...maar zoals iedere dag weer even een bijkoopmoment ergens tussen de 3.50 - 3.60!?
   
   De vraag is wannneer gaan we de 3.85 zien? Vanaf dat niveau een sprong boven de 4....en dan Ja wat dan eigenlijk?
   Wat is op dit moment een koers die de waarde van TT juist weergeeft (gegeven de AEX van rond de 300), even los van alle ruis (exit, overname etc.)?

    The facts: A Dutch daily has interviewed an executive at TomTom responsible for Business Solutions. The executive is quoted as saying that growth for TomTom Business Solutions will be twice as high as market growth and that growth in 2012 will be between 30-40%. This executive also stated that penetration of fleet management systems is at 5-20% (depending on the country) in the case of a professionally managed commercial fleet of vehicles. In both Europe and North America, the executive estimates that there are roughly 30m commercial vehicles on the road currently. The executive is also saying that the market remains fragmented and that few competitors operate internationally.
    Our analysis: The growth target of between 30% and 40% is higher than what we currently take into account. Growth in 1Q12 was just 14% while we take into account growth of 26% for the full year. We are aware of higher marketing efforts and a market that is more open to fleet management solutions (because the pay back period is really short and savings can be significant) but the upper end of the range (40%) is significantly higher than what we have pencilled in. Using a 40% growth target would add EUR 12m in revenues.
    With regards to the fragmentation of the market we do note that consolidation has accelerated in the last 12 months as both strategic deals have been struck and private equity has taken positions. As such, competition is expected to increase going forward although the market still remains fragmented.
    Conclusion & Action: The statements by the TomTom executive about the growth in Business Solutions is positive, as are the statements on the current penetration levels and the fragmentation of the market. We do not upgrade our estimates yet, but will await confirmation at the 1H12 earnings release.

    Tot nu toe lijkt het diverse nieuws niet in te slaan als een bom... AEX wilt omhoog maar wordt tegen gehouden door Heineken en Unilever. Lijken mij wel fondsen die het verlies van zich afschudden gedurende de dag !!
