I'm pleased to share with you that since our last quarterly conference call, we have booked $3.2 billion of new automotive awards. Yes, $3.2 billion of new awards. Within the last quarter, we were awarded the next-generation infotainment programs from both #1 and #2 in the world, Daimler and BMW as well as the next-generation car audio platform with BMW. These automakers chose HARMAN as their partner for integrated solutions after carefully evaluating all of the solutions and technologies available in the marketplace from traditional suppliers to all the way to Silicon Valley. HARMAN once again rose to the top with the right mix of intelligent solutions for navigation, safety, upgradability and system security as well as proven track record for execution, which is fundamental to automakers. The world's automakers, led by Daimler and BMW, are committed to bringing smart embedded solutions to their global customer base. And HARMAN will continue to be the preferred and trusted partner with the most advanced solutions.
Turning to our recent acquisitions. We're pleased to have promptly cleared all regulatory hurdles and closed the Symphony Teleca and Redbend software transactions. As I've said before, these acquisitions will give us immediate scale in software services and better position HARMAN to capitalize on the rapid growth of the Internet of Things. We can now deliver more powerful solutions at the intersection of cloud, mobility and analytics for our core markets of automotive and consumer electronics and also diversify to a wider range of industries, such as enterprise, telecommunications, media and retail.
