    USA verzeichnen im August leichten Kapitalzufluss

    WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--Die internationale Nettonachfrage nach langlaufenden US-Wertpapieren hat im August einen leicht positiven Saldo verzeichnet. Wie das Treasury am Freitag mitteilte, kauften internationale Investoren Wertpapiere mit Laufzeiten von mehr als einen Jahr für netto 13,0 Mrd USD. Im Vormonat waren noch Papiere über netto 7,3 Mrd USD abgestoßen worden

    California bank becomes 99th to fail in U.S. in 2009

    SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- California regulators on Friday closed the San Joaquin Bank of Bakersfield, which became the 99th U.S. bank to fail in 2009.

    The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. said Citizens Business Bank of Ontario, Calif., will buy almost all the assets of the failed bank and assume all the deposits.

    As of Sept. 29, San Joaquin Bank assets of $775 million and deposits of $631 million, the FDIC said.

    The cost to the Deposit Insurance Fund will be $103 million, the FDIC estimated.

    San Joaquin Bank was the 10th in California to fail this year. Before Friday, the most recent failure in the state was Affinity Bank of Ventura on Aug. 28.

    Laten we nu eens aannemen dat die meltdown er komt.
    Je geld is dan niets meer waard, aandelen zijn waardeloos, etc.
    Waarin zou je nu moeten beleggen om de meltdown te doorstaan en er uit te springen?

    Zo erg is het volgens mij niet meer. Maar ja je weet het maar nooit.
    Ik zie het eerder zo , dat die hype die we gehad hebben nu echt voorbij is en dat die tijd dat mensen de wereld over rende om alles maar te kopen wat los en vast zat , nu echt voorbij is.
    Banken zullen nooit meer zo makkelijk geld uit lenen , en de stijging van de huizenprijzen is nu wereldwijd voorbij.
    De productie van bedrijven zal veel lager blijven dan in de top tijd en zullen veel bedrijven en winkels de deuren sluiten.
    De overheden zullen hierdoor veel minder belasting geld binnenhalen en zal er nog meer bezuinigt moeten worden.
    Ik denk dat we een jaar of 10 terug gaan in de tijd en dat we op dat niveau nog jaren zullen blijven hangen.

    Ron Paul Warns of Violence from Pending Dollar Crisis

    10/14/2009 Scary times ahead? Perhaps, if you take credence in what Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, says.
    Paul, who had a strong grassroots following during the 2008 presidential election, explained on Glenn Becks Sept. 30 radio program that perilous times lie ahead due to the Federal Reserves loose monetary policy. Host Glenn Beck asked how an Israeli strike against Iran might trigger problems with the American financial system.
    What happens when Israel strikes Iran or Iran has the earth rays and we know that they now have a nuclear weapon, what happens to our financial system at that point? Beck asked.

    The libertarian Paul maintained China would become the worlds financial heavyweight and they were already making preparations to be the worlds top dog.

    I think the Chinese take over, Paul said. If theres a real panic and oil shoots up to a couple of hundred bucks, the Chinese will dump their dollars. Chinese are maneuvering for this. The more we threaten Iran, the stronger the Chinese influence gets because they're using the dollars that they have earned from us and saved, they have a trillion, and they are starting to buy up assets in Iran and build plants and get involved in their energy. So the whole thing is backfiring on us. Were getting ready to put tougher sanctions on the Iranians and that will make things that much worse. It won't help the dissidents in Iran. It's going to cost us a lot of money, and there will be a bombing and that will be a big, big event. I think it will crash the dollar is what I think it would do.

    And what does the country look like after the dollar crashes? Not good the Texas congressman said.

    Helaas ook in Nederland.
    De zogenaamde "B-winkelstraten" in de grote steden gaan gaten vertonen, het percentage opzeggers voor de komende maanden stijgt razendsnel.
    Geen tamtam, geen fanfare...de deur dicht en tot ziens, zwaar teleurgestelde MKB-ers.
