    Misschien moeten we de geitjes dan toch gewoon maar met rust laten en alleen verder gaan met

    de laatste weken kunnen we naar alle eerlijkheid spreken over manipulatie van de bovenste plank, denk dat dit voor iedereen duidelijk is

    ik/wij horen het graag (bepaalde links zijn welkom)

    en naar mijn bescheiden mening is een achterstand van plus minus drie jaar niet te onderschatten!!
    ik heb alle respect voor uw mening,
    MAAR een "kleine" argumentatie en onderbouwing zou zéér welkom zijn,
    en een richting naar, wat en waarom?? zodoende uw gelijk,
    we vernemen we het graag?!
    LT-concurrentie = nihil voor GTC

    en waarom zouden we kiezen voor een techniek die voorlopig
    nog ""zonder schoenen"" staat??
    loze woorden vliegen ons hier al genoeg om de oren
    (geef ons een goede tip, zodat we niet met een

    Dat is toch zón bank voor zwart geld?
    Ik denk overigens dat het de verkopers op 1.30 zijn die op 1.26 terug willen kopen.

    The report, called Therapeutics from Transgenic Sources, notes that the current worldwide market for therapeutics from transgenic sources is zero, but is expected to exceed $1 billion in 2008 and to reach $18.6 billion in 2013.

    What do you see for the future of transgenic technology?

    One of the unique features of the technology is the ability to get to these hard to express proteins. Most investors-and biotech is driven to a large degree by its investor base-are focused on the economics around the technology, and that is a good story. Getting to these hard to express proteins actually is quite enabling from a drug discovery standpoint.

    An example from our own pipeline of products is the malaria vaccine. Now malaria is a devastating disease. It is perhaps the number one disease in the world. It's certainly the number one killer of children. Unfortunately, it's also a disease that happens to be in the third world, where there's not a lot of money to try to address the problem.

    There's a malaria vaccine concept the people have had for a long time using a protein called MSP1. It has the potential to be what's known as a therapeutic vaccine and actually treat people who already have the disease with this vaccine. The problem has been that nobody has been able to make the MSP1 protein in significant quantities by which to make an actual product out of it.

    We have tested it in monkeys in what's known as the "native form," so the monkey may have already had malaria or may not have. It's been given this form of a vaccine, and it's been successful in staving off what's known as a challenge where we purposely introduced malaria to the monkeys and they were successful in not getting sick.

    So this is a very promising concept that can't be done in any other way and because of the power of the economics of the technology has the potential to address it in those areas of the world that can't afford to pay a lot.

    Is this research cost effective?

    We're seeking funding for this malaria vaccine from both the Gates Foundation and the National Institutes of Health. We're optimistic that one source or another will fund this. When it's funded, we'll be able to bring it into this facility, which we consider our commercial production facility in goats. And this is an interesting product in that even though it's a very prevailing disease, we probably can meet the world's demand with a handful of goats, probably less than a dozen to meet worldwide demand for our potential malaria vaccine.

    The cost to produce a transgenic protein in goat milk can thus be 3 to 30 times cheaper than the current method using mammalian cell culture.
    GTC is also in collaboration with various companies such as Abbott, Centocor (a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson), Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Immunogen, BASF, Bristol Myers Squibb and Eli Lilly among others.

    Beste SkySpam1, myn mailtje was alleen gemotiveerd door de ontmoedigende koers en niet door feiten.
    Wel blyft er m.i. onzekerheid over welke eiwitpro-
    duktiemethode echt de toekomst gaat worden .
    Ik hoop natuurlyk ook dat de geitjes een grote rol gaan spelen ,maar ik besef wel dat er veel ondoorzichtige factoren zyn .
    Uw argumenten zal ik nog eens aandachtig doorlezen.

    gaan we GTCB deze wk nog omhoog kopen jongens, legi gaat er deze wk weer wat bijkopen......maar het word tijd dat er wat wardering komt voor de fantastische techniek!!! zou geweldig zijn als de geitjes trouwens met wat recombineren het spul van Inni konden produceren..... hadden we 2 geitjes in 1 klap

    GTC Biotherapeutics is a stand-alone public company traded on the Nasdaq National Market System. In July 1993, Genzyme Transgenics was organized as a separate business, distinct from Genzyme Corporation, in order to fully realize the potential value of producing therapeutic proteins in the milk of transgenic animals. On June 3, 2002, Genzyme Transgenics became GTC Biotherapeutics in order to bring clarity to its identity and independence while highlighting the familiar initials by which it was already known.

    As of April 6, 2005, Genzyme Corporation owns approximately 4.9 million shares of GTC Biotherapeutics common stock with warrants exercisable for approximately 370,000 additional shares, and is GTC’s largest minority shareholder.

    2. Is GTC Biotherapeutics a tracking stock of Genzyme Corporation?
    No, GTC Biotherapeutics is not a tracking stock of Genzyme Corporation, but is a separate corporation, with a separate board of directors. The assets of GTC Biotherapeutics are held by its shareholders, and the Company has separate and distinct business goals and objectives from that of Genzyme Corporation.

    genzyme stond ook bij goedkeuring emea: ik denk dat genzyme een agentschap voor gtcb heeft en zo namens deze zaken "regelt" en soms "vertegenwoordigt"; genzyme heeft vestiging in naarden, zodoende. bovendien een groot netwerk.

    wekt misverstand, maar weet je meer is er niets aan de hand.
