    I doubt it. RNAI is going down as a natural retrace to a huge run-up in price. I jumped in and out of RNAI on the news, as did many others. Simply look at the volume compared to average vol of 150k-200k prior to that run up.

    What is happening now is that people who thought RNAI would hit some ridiculous price like $50 on that news are just jumping out of this stock. Look, it's still at 2-3 TIMES what it was trading for a month ago. It's really hard to complain about those gains.

    The reason the stock jumped so much on the news, was that it was validation of their approach. Many people in the biological sciences are familiar with RNA interference/cosuppression/antisense or whatever you are used to calling this phenomenon. It works WONDERFULLY to reduce or eliminate single genes from functioning. Although the initial work was done in plants, there are a shitload of papers describing this in almost every biological system out there.

    Us scientists knew this stuff is incredible, the public just got a glimpse recently and ran the price of this stock up.

    For the long term, this and a few others (ALNY) should pay off incredibly well. However, we are talking long term. They both need a product to fund research. Once a delivery system is validated by clinical trials, these stocks are going to be worth an astoronomical amount of money. Simply because it essentially free to design new RNA drugs to go after thousands of other genes that cause disease states. When will all of this happen? Years. Will there be substantial news in the meantime that will drive the stock higher? You bet. Are people looking at financials of these stocks? Only if you're an idiot. These stocks are valued based solely on intellectual property only.

    If you're long and you're going to hold for 3 years. Don't worry about the ups and downs. If you're playing the little ups and downs, great, just don't get left out of the game when the big plays start.

    Vind het deze keer wel heel Kl#te om gelijk te krijgen....
    maar heb je al gekocht - de bied staat nu op 3.49

    Het scheelt toch niet veel of mijn eerste koersdoel wat ik voor mezelf had gesteld is vandaag bijna bereikt 3,40. Alleen komen we nu van de verkeerde kant.

    Blijft toch jammer dat ze het nieuws van hun lilly milestone mbt kanker onderzoek niet in een apart PB hebben gezet de afgelopen week. Dan hadden we nu zeker niet hier gestaan.

    Waarom staan we hier nu wel dan? Milestone stond toch in de cijfers gisteren, had de markt toch ook op kunnen reageren...?
