    ETSI (The European Telecommunications Standards Institute) has announced a new global IoT connectivity standard: DECT-2020 new radio (NR). Wirepas has been one of the key contributors to it and has entirely shared its unique technology in an effort to help customers navigate the fragmented industrial IoT market.

    ECT-2020 NR was developed to support broad and diverse wireless IoT applications requiring both ultra-reliable and low-latency communication needed in voice and industrial applications.     Alstom has conducted a project in Spain to digitalise track inspections for the Metro Ligero, the light rail network in Madrid.

    The data collected can then be fed into Alstom’s HealthHub platform, which makes the prediction of future problems easier, allowing preventive maintenance.

    50 personeelsleden preventief in quarantaine bij Picanol

    Zo'n 50 personeelsleden van weeftouwenproducent Picanol in Ieper moeten preventief in quarantaine nadat enkele collega's die aan dezelfde montageband werken positief testten. Dat bevestigt woordvoerder Frederic Dryhoel vandaag.

    "We willen geen risico's nemen. Wie kan werkt bij Picanol van thuis uit maar op de productie-afdeling is dat moeilijker. Daar wordt wel met mondmasker gewerkt", aldus Dryhoel. De rest van de fabriek blijft intussen operationeel.

    Die Co2 meters gaan sowieso nut hebben en zeker gelanceerd kunnen worden. Maar voor de safetyDistance is er toch nog twijfel niet? Met het aankomende vaccin. Natuurlijk heeft het Covid verhaal nog niet afgelopen en kan alles gebeuren.
