    Interessante data mbt AB101 + Rituximab uit 2023 (gelezen bij Uherek):

    Patiënten verdroegen zonder te grote bijwerkingen 16 dosis, de uitkomsten zijn "durable" en momenteel wordt de dosis va 4 miljard cellen onderzocht.

    "Efficacy assessments were investigator-based utilizing the Lugano response criteria4; first efficacy assessment
    was conducted at the end of the first cycle (D29) in both cohorts, and subsequent assessments were conducted
    1-3 months thereafter.

    Monotherapy: Efficacy is an exploratory endpoint for the AB-101 monotherapy cohorts and limited to 1 cycle of
    treatment to assess safety, tolerability and AB-101 PK/PD characteristics without the influence of mAbs.
    The Objective Response Rate (ORR) in 13 efficacy evaluable patients treated with AB-101 alone was 38.5%
    overall (including 3 CRs and 2 PRs).

    Combination Therapy: The ORR in 7 efficacy evaluable patients treated with AB-101 plus Rituximab was 57.1%
    overall, including 3 CRs and 1 PR. At the time of the data cut, 3 patients had ongoing responses and were
    progression free for 5+, 7+ and 9+ months.

    Efficacy is currently limited to the 1 billion per dose cohort; the 4 billion combination cohort will start enrolling in June."

    Waarom heeft Affimed zich niet laten overnemen door Artiva? Qua marktwaardering moet dat nu makkelijk kunnen.

    Artiva moet groot deel van haar cash investeren in de joint development van 1 product van Affimed. Dus met haar cash al committed aan Affimed lost een overname door Artiva niets op volgens mij. Het wachten is op verder bewijs dat de AFM13 op een wat langere termijn even goed of beter werkt met Artiva NK cellen dan met de eerder getest combinatie met NK cellen.

    Meer kopen durf ik toch niet meer.

    Ondertussen heeft Galapagos haar geld ingezet op CAR-t behandelingen en andere T-cel manipulaties (men heeft een deal gesloten met Adaptimmune):

    Bij NK cellen heb ik nog nooit gehoord over Parkinson bijwerkingen. Wat onderscheidt Galapagos van de (vele) CAR-t behandelingen die al op de markt zijn? Waarom ga je dan nog een CD19 CAR't op de markt brengen ten Non-Hodgkin? Heeft het minder bijwerkingen dan de reeds bestaande? De stop bij Kahler leert dat dat niet het geval is. Tijd dat ze daar in Leiden gaan luisteren naar Rezvani en haar instituut.

    Een goed artikel over CAR-t toepassingen voor autoimmuunziekten:

    Wellicht dat alle opwinding over Galapagos uit deze hoek komt. Maar waarom zou CAR-NK /NK engagers niet hetzelfde (met minder risico's) kunnen bewerkstelligen? Zo geredeneerd dreigt ook het business model van Argenx ondermijnd te worden. Wat voor mogelijkheden zijn er dan voor Affimed. Is die alleen veroordeeld tot het werkterrein van kanker?
