Short Holdings for Koninklijke Kpn Nv at Fifty-Two Week High
EMEA Telecommunication Services Short Interest Update
Short sellers have increased their positions by nearly 7% in Koninklijke Kpn Nv (KPN NA) over the past month, pushing the stock's short interest to a new annual high of over 18% of total shares outstanding. Large funds who lend have also increased their inventory by 4.8% over the past month to just below 17% of the market cap. The share price is down 9.2% over the past week to €2.71.
Along with Koninklijke Kpn Nv, short interest in Telefonica Sa (TEF SM) jumped 34.5% over the past month. The share price has dropped 4.7% to €10.72 over the month. Institutional investors who lend have also increased their holdings by almost 7% over the past month and now hold 16.1% of shares outstanding.
In the past month, short holdings in Telekom Austria Ag (TKA AV) have increased by 6.8% to a very small 0.8% of the market cap. The stock price has seen a 7% decline over the past month to €4.96. Institutional ownership of funds who lend remains high at 11.1% of shares outstanding and has increased slightly over the past month.
Demand to borrow Bt Group Plc (BT/A LN) has dropped to 24.1 million shares, down from 25.1 million a month ago. Short sellers now hold 0.3% of total shares outstanding. There has been a 37.2% decline in short interest in Vodafone Group Plc (VOD LN) over the past month to a very low 0.2% of total shares outstanding.
