    Met de recente komst van Ricardo Dolmetsch als President Research and Development (en het vertrek van Sander van Deventer) en Covid 19 belemmeringen verwacht ik niet meer dat de onderneming dit jaar een R&D Day organiseert. Voorjaar 2021 zou in combinatie met bekendmaking eerste voorlopige effectiviteitsdata Huntington - ook met oog op publiciteit - logischer zijn.

    Volledigheidshalve, uniQure heeft een samenwerking met Synpromics (voor de ontwikkeling van lever-specifieke promotors). Synpromics is een jaar geleden overgenomen door AskBio. En nu wordt AskBio overgenomen door Bayer.

    uniQure heeft ook een samenwerking met Gen-X (voor de ontwikkeling van promotors). Kwestie van tijd en QURE neemt deze partij zelf over.

    - Bekendmaking update intellectual property (IP) portfolio (patenten rondom Padua)

    In de derde kwartaalrapportage staat: On January 4, 2020, a petition seeking Inter Partes Review of U.S. Patent No. 9,249,405 (the “’405 Patent”) was filed by Pfizer, Inc. The petition sought to invalidate claims 6 and 9-15 of the ‘405 Patent. On April 17, 2020, we filed our preliminary response to the petition, disclaiming claims 6 and 9-13 of the ‘405 patent and otherwise requesting the denial of the petition. On July 13, 2020, the United States Patent and Trademark Office issued its decision to institute the Inter Partes Review. On October 13, 2020, we filed a motion to amend the patent claims at issue in the proceeding. We expect that Pfizer will file a response to our motion in January 2021 pursuant to the current schedule for the proceeding.

    Is er nog een update tav BMY? Merk dat er sinds lange tijd weer opwaartse druk zit in het aandeel. COVID-19 kan nog roet in het eten gooien op de beurzen maar denk dat de beurzen nu beter blijven liggen tov de eerste wave vanwege positiviteit omtrent de aanstaande COVID-19 vaccines. Ik heb iig bijgekocht??.

    In de kwartaalrapportage is geen update ten aanzien van de BMY-samenwerking opgenomen. De onderzoekstermijn is ruim een jaar geleden verlopen en er wordt onderhandeld over de voortzetting. Voorlopig geldt: The Company agreed, subject to certain conditions, to continue providing limited support of the pre-clinical Collaboration Targets, and any related costs will be reimbursed by BMS during these discussions.

    Ik zie de samenwerking het liefst direct ontbonden worden (of met flinke stappen voortgezet worden). De bestaande overeenkomst beperkt QURE namelijk in handelingsvrijheid (en zelfs overnamekansen), want: The Company has agreed to certain restrictions on its ability to work independently of the collaboration, either directly or indirectly through any affiliate or third party, on certain programs that would be competitive with the collaboration programs.

    Eigenlijk wel. De ASH kent overigens ook 'late-breaking abstracts'. Deze worden op 19 november 9:00 a.m. ET op de conferentie website bekendgemaakt.

    Een mooi bericht. CSL zal nu zeker werk maken van de samenwerking en druk zetten op het krijgen van toestemming van autoriteiten voor de deal.

    Daarmee wordt het financiële plaatje van Uniqure een flink stuk sterker.
    De koers gaat dan ook terecht nu weer naar boven.
