   OctoPlus obtains full rights to PolyActive drug delivery technology from IsoTis
   24.04.2007, Leiden, the Netherlands
   
   OctoPlus N.V. (“OctoPlus” or the “Company”) (Euronext: OCTO), the drug delivery and development company, announces today that it reached agreement with IsoTis, Inc. (NASDAQ: ISOT) to obtain additional rights to its PolyActive™ drug delivery technology, the technology used in OctoPlus’ lead product Locteron™. Locteron is a controlled release formulation of interferon alfa for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C, currently in Phase IIa studies.
   
   Under the revised agreement, OctoPlus obtains full rights to the PolyActive technology and its intellectual property in certain strategic areas, including additional applications in orthopedics. Furthermore, the contract has financial benefits for OctoPlus as it includes an upfront license fee of € 1.25 million, which will decrease future payments on OctoPlus’ revenues using PolyActive.
   
   OctoPlus had gained access to PolyActive from IsoTis in 2003, when it acquired IsoTis’ affiliate Chienna B.V. The license agreement covered the intellectual property rights to the technology in the areas of pharmaceuticals and medical device coatings. Under the revised agreement, OctoPlus gains control over the use and manufacturing of the technology to include all applications in controlled release pharmaceuticals, medical coatings and orthopedics, and include all intellectual property covering the technology in these areas. IsoTis retains the rights to manufacture, market and sell orthopedic plugs and cement restrictors including those related to its marketed product SynPlug™.

   is dit bericht nou positief voor Isotis of niet? ik denk van wel, maar het bedrag doet mij nogal laag aan, of niet?

   voor de kaspositie is dit goed ovi..negatief>? mwah we kennen de gegevens niet mbt polyactive en wat die eventuele mindering in % zal zijn bij omzet polyactive produkten van octoplus....

    belangrijkste product locteron is pas in fase II,
    er zijn nog geen producten op de markt en dus ook nog geen inkomsten voor IsoTis. Mochten producten met polyactive op de markt komen ontvangen ze royalties. Voor de uitbreiding van de deal ontvangt IsoTis nu 1,25 mio en straks nog steeds royalties al zal het minder per product zijn..ALS die op de markt komen..

    Lijkt mij dat gezien de koers van Isotis er geen polyactive opbrengsten waren ingeprijsd.
    
    Vooruitbetaling van een onzekere opbrengst is m.i. dan positief.

    dit is positief, de koers van isotis is veel te laag ten opzichte van de (verborgen) assets van dit bedrijf.
    
    Nu komt er fantasie in het bedrijf en gaan er mensen nadenken. positief bericht dus

    Helaas is dit inderdaad zo. Dit soort zaken zijn bij bijna niemand bekend. Van de andere kant zijn toekomstige inkomsten hieruit natuurlijk ook nog zodanig onzeker dat het moeilijk is dit in te prijzen.

    Gezien de oplopende koers van de afgelopen dagen, met fratsen in het boekje etc. denk ik dat er mensen/ partijen met voorkennis geweest zijn die ingekocht hebben.
    O. geeft aan dat er waarde zit in het recht om te verkopen, en betalen daar een paar dubbeltjes per aandeel I. voor. Zij zullen dat op korte tot middellange termijn terug willen verdienen, plus hun kosten plus hun winst en risico (en denken dus dat dit mogelijk is).
    
    De koers kan aleen maar omhoog, hoewel we volgens mij dus al een voorschot hebben genomen afgelopen week.
    
    Per wanneer zullen de inkomsten opgenomen worden?
    
    1e Q is niet waarschijnlijk, maar toch....
    
    Die 1.7M is handige cash voor de bonus iig

    Moeilijk kwestie,positief of negatief.
    Persoonlijk neig ik wat naar de negatieve kant,omdat ik denk dat IsoTis hard cash nodig heeft om niet gedwongen te worden een emissie te plaatsen tegen een lagere koers dan vooraf was voorzien.
    
    Polyactive,een mooie techniek waar veel om te doen is.(geweest).

    Aan de ene kant vraag ik mij dus ook af waarom zo,n relatief klein bedrag.

    Article 8 - Milestone Payments

    Aan de andere kant heeft Octoplus dringend een partner nodig om de zaak te kunnen volbrengen,dat is pas dringend eind 2008,maar er zit toch wel wat drang achter.
    
    Locteron,eenmaal goedgekeurd heeft een geschatte omzet van 4 miljard,en nu ken ik nieuwe voorwaarden nog niet,maar die 1,7 miljoen staat niet in verhouding tot de waarde van de toepassing,vandaar dat ik denk aan een noodsprong teneinde aan een gedwongen emissie te omtkomen.
    
    Ik zal nog wel eens in het rond mailen om de ins,en outs te weten te komen.
