    Gisteren werd bekend dat Intel een mega chip productie fabriek in Magdeburg Duitsland gaat bouwen. Werkgelegenheid voor 1000 mensen.

    Volgens Intel's IDM 2.0 strategie* kan je ervanuit gaan dat er ASML EUV machines zullen worden aangeschaft.

    Intel Plans $19 Billion German Mega Factory in European Push

    Bloomberg) -- Intel Corp. pledged to invest 17 billion euros ($18.7 billion) to build a cutting-edge semiconductor production site in Germany, marking the beginning of Europe’s ambitious attempt to lure global chipmakers back to the region.

    The Santa Clara, California-based company has committed to spend 33 billion euros in a number of European countries, part of a plan to devote 80 billion euros to the region over the next decade. France will become home to a new chip research center, and the company will expand its existing production site in Ireland. Intel also announced it is negotiating with Italy about opening a new packaging site.

    US-China tech war: Chinese surveillance camera maker Hikvision to acquire second-hand ASML machine for chip production

    Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology, one of the world's largest suppliers of video surveillance cameras, plans to buy a second-hand lithography machine made by Dutch firm ASML Holding for its in-house chip manufacturing operation, according to a source familiar with the matter, marking a big move for the Chinese state-owned firm toward tech self-sufficiency amid US trade restrictions and a global semiconductor shortage.

    Eens, had over het hoofd gezien dat het een geboycot spionage bedrijf was.
    De titel is misleidende stemmingmakerij. Dit heeft niks met de hitech China 'race' te maken, maar met mensenrechten.
    Sterker nog: dat ze 17 jaar oude machines van ASML willen kopen, laat alleen maar zien dat de Chinese leveranciers meer dan 17 jaar achter lopen. Goed nieuws dus ;-)

    Goldman Sachs analyst Alexander Duval upgraded ASML Holding NV (NASDAQ:ASML) to Conviction Buy from Buy with a €930 price target (57.20% upside).
    Duval sees ASML as a "core Digital Enabler" given its monopoly position on Extreme Ultraviolet Lithography.
    ASML's de-rating from 29-times price to expected 2025 earnings to 23-times despite improving orders and customer datapoints has created an improved risk-reward.
    ASML reported fourth-quarter FY21 revenue of €4.99 billion, up 17.2% Y/Y missing the consensus. The Q4 net bookings were €7.1 billion.
    ASML sees Q1 2022 net sales of €3.3 billion - €3.5 billion.
    Price Action: ASML shares closed higher by 0.53% at $654.10.
