    Eindelijk een lichtpuntje voor de aandeelhouders, maar ook als gebruiker van het apparaat ben ik blij met dit PB.
    Ben benieuwd naar de verdere ontwikkelingen omtrent dit apparaat en hoe het met al die schadeclaims in de USA gaat aflopen.

    AMSTERDAM, Dec 23 (Reuters) - Dutch medical equipment maker Philips on Thursday said the first tests on ventilators it recalled earlier this year showed encouraging results.

    Philips in September estimated it would replace up to four million ventilators and respiratory devices worldwide because of a polyurethane foam part that might degrade and become toxic.[nL2N2NW041]

    The first tests, performed with certified labs and outside experts, focused on the emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) of first generation DreamStation devices, which Philips said represent the majority of the registered affected products.

    "Review of this assessment has determined that exposure to the level of VOCs identified to date is not typically anticipated to result in long-term health consequences for patients," it said.

    More tests are ongoing to determine the risks of potential foam particulates and to cover other recalled devices.

    These tests are expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2022.

    Philips shares have lost more than a third of their value since it announced the recall in April, as investors fear the issue will lead to large claims.

    Positief nieuws.... Een persbericht over een onderzoek, door een extern medisch panel, waar men meld geen gezondheidsrisico op de lange termijn.

    Dat word nu een stuk lastiger voor die Amerikanen. :) Blij dat ik niet heb weggedaan maar bij heb gekocht.

    Goedemorgen,ik passerende vorige dinsdag voorbij de directiekamer bij Philips en hoorde dat het gebruikte schuimrubber geen noemswaardige gezondheid problemen stelde .
    Er werd mij uitdrukkelijk gesommeerd die nie op dit forum te melden voor donderdag 9h00.
    Waarom ,Philips wilde dit zelf bekend maken als vervroegd kerstgeschenk aan zijn trouwe aandeelhouders.
    Na alle berichten van de laatste maanden die de profeten zagen van :opsplitsen, dalen tot 25 en u leest het maar.
    Steeds vertrouwen gehad ,maar nog een lange weg te gaan voor de aangerichte schade aangemaakt en duidelijk enorm uitvergroot door belanghebbende witte boordcriminelen.

    An Indiana couple recently filed a new Philips CPAP lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. One of the plaintiffs claims that he was using the Philips DreamStation CPAP device when he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

    The plaintiffs seek compensatory and punitive damages.
