    Eens, veel winstnemingen? Het begon met meer dan +1.5% en nu ongeveer nul. Dus er is echt een opdracht nodig voor een hogere koers (of een veel hogere olieprijs).

    SBM Offshore rondt financiering FPSO Liza af

    (ABM FN-Dow Jones) SBM Offshore heeft de financiering van de FPSO Liza Unity met succes afgerond. Dit maakte de Schiedamse oliedienstverlener woensdagavond bekend.

    Het gaat om een bedrag van 1,14 miljard dollar, dat door 9 grote banken wordt verstrekt, en zal worden gebruikt voor de bouw van de FPSO.

    SBM Offshore betaalt voor de lening een rente van 1,5 procent boven LIBOR.

    FPSO Liza krijgt een dagcapaciteit van 220.000 vaten olie en een gasbehandelingscapaciteit van 400 miljoen kubieke voet per dag.

    Het schip zal worden afgemeerd in het Liza veld, 200 kilometer voor de kust van Guyana.

    SBM Offshore completes US$1.14 billion financing of Liza Unity

    October 16, 2019


    SBM Offshore is pleased to announce that it completed the project financing of FPSO Liza Unity for a total of US$1.14 billion.

    The project financing was secured by a consortium of nine international banks. The Company expects to draw the loan in full, phased over the construction period of the FPSO. The financing will become non-recourse once the FPSO is completed and the pre-completion guarantees have been released. The project loan has a tenor of two years post completion, in line with the duration of the charter, and carries a variable interest cost of LIBOR plus 1.50%.

    The Liza Unity FPSO design is based on SBM Offshore’s industry leading Fast4Ward® program as it incorporates the Company’s new build, multi-purpose hull combined with several standardized topsides modules. The FPSO will be designed to produce 220,000 barrels of oil per day, will have associated gas treatment capacity of 400 million cubic feet per day and water injection capacity of 250,000 barrels per day. The FPSO will be spread moored in water depth of about 1,600 meters and will be able to store around 2 million barrels of crude oil.

    The Liza field is located circa 200 kilometers offshore Guyana in the Stabroek block. ExxonMobil affiliate Esso Exploration and Production Guyana Limited is operator and holds 45 percent interest in the Stabroek Block. Hess Guyana Exploration Ltd. holds 30 percent interest and CNOOC Petroleum Guyana Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CNOOC Limited, holds 25 percent interest.

    De banken hebben er dus vertrouwen in, anders leent men niet tegen genoemd tarief. Komt neer op netto 1,1 %. Een koopje!

    Je rekent met een Libortarief in euro’s zie ik?
    Als je het dollartarief hanteert (SBM doet bijna alles in US$) kom je wel even anders uit, zo’n 3,5% (2% libor + 1,5%) en dat ligt ook meer in lijn met de rentetarieven in afgelopen jaren.
    Overigens heb ik geen idee in hoeverre/of SBM renteverschillen en valutaschommelingen in deze situatie kan benutten.

    Weet iemand wanneer er een uitkomst gaat zijn m.b.t. de overname van de belangen in die 5 FPSO's wat recentelijk in het nieuws was? SBM zou meedingen om de belangen over te nemen.

    Inderdaad had even over het hoofd gezien dat men in dollars leent, dus U hebt gelijk.

    SBM Offshore successful bidder for partner’s minority ownership in SBM Offshore operated FPSO companies

    Further to the announcement dated September 30, 2019 confirming its participation in the public sale auction of the equity ownership of Serviços de Petróleo Constellation S.A. (“Constellation”) in the lease and operating companies related to five Brazilian FPSOs (“the entities”), SBM Offshore confirms it has been formally designated as the successful bidder. Completion of the transaction remains subject to various conditions precedent, including consent from client Petrobras and approval by the local antitrust authority CADE (“Conselho Administrativo de Defesa Econômica”). The total consideration for the equity ownership, excluding associated non-recourse project debt, is c. US$150 million.

    The transaction includes the minority stake held by affiliated companies of Constellation in the entities related to the following five FPSOs (with Constellation’s ownership percentage in brackets): Cidade de Paraty (20%), Cidade de Ilhabela (12.75%), Cidade de Marica (5%), Cidade de Saquarema (5%) and Capixaba (20%).

    SBM Offshore is already the majority shareholder of the related entities and operator of these FPSOs.

    Prima zet om, nu fpso's steeds meer turn key worden, de L&O portefeuille wat te verzwaren. Dat is toch SBM's hoop in bange dagen. En bange dagen liggen altijd op de loer.

    Het geld is er, dus het is positief dat ze dat investeren in toekomstige cashflow. We moeten ons er wel van bewust zijn dat dat ook meer verantwoordelijkheid/exposure voor SBM is als er iets mis gaat met/op één van die schepen, maar dat is ook de business.
