   Meneer K, hartelijk dank voor deze goede tips. Heb geprobeerd om SBI Holdings te kopen (marktorder) op de Japanse beurs maar het ziet er naar uit dat er nog geen aandelen verhandeld zijn in 2018. Enig idee wanneer we weer kunnen kopen? Geen idee waar ik dat kan vinden...

   Klopt helemaal meneer K. Heb ze vannacht aan kunnen kopen. Jammer dat men oog niet eerder op dit topic is gevallen. Nogmaals hartelijk dank voor je tips. Heb na wat onderzoek ook Broadridge aangekocht, maar dan in veel kleinere mate.

   Ook met IoT, vindt ik dit zeer intressant, en ik hoop dat dit topic een beetje in leven blijft.
   
   Je ziet nu allerlei kleine bedrijfjes die erin springen. Niet klein, maar IBM en Cisco zijn ook intressant. Ben me ook wat in het inlezen nu.

   Hier hetzelfde. Ben veel opzoek naar informatie over Blockchain etc. heb al veel informatie gevonden via de links die hier gedeeld zijn. Mijn dank daarvoor.
   Waar ik echt naar op zoek ben, zijn de bedrijven die net begonnen zijn met Blockchain en veel potentie hebben voor de toekomst. Er zijn wel een aantal grote bedrijven zoals IBM Group, Overstock, Intel etc. die zich specialiseren in Blockchain, maar persoonlijk ben ik op zoek naar bedrijven die nu nog "goedkoop" zijn om in te investeren en een goede basis hebben voor een investering.
   Persoonlijk ben ik eind januari/begin februari ingestapt in BTL Group, net nadat zij een redelijke val hebben gemaakt. Op 8.50 CAD ben ik ingestapt en heb nu al een redelijke winst te pakken.
   
   Ik hoop bij deze ook dat deze topic weer wat leven krijgt en dat er meerdere personen zijn die zich inlezen in Blockchain en hun ervaringen hier willen delen.

   GLOBAL BLOCKCHAIN TECHS (BWSP) (https://globalblockchain.io/) leek mij interessant. Ook na het bekijken van hun website.
   Heb de stocks van de week lopen monitoren, stijgen tot 10% gedurende de dag, maar vallen terug aan het einde van dag. Ze lijken mij niet Bitcoin gevoelig, aangezien deze weer tot rond de 9300$ staat.
   
   Ik denk toch dat ik een plukje ga pakken begin Maart. Ze zijn net begonnen, wat gezakt, maar geef ze een kans :-)

    Zeker een interessante optie. Ik zie op dit moment wel dat hij stil ligt, klopt dit bij jou ook? Ik zal me er ook eens in gaan verdiepen en wellicht dat ik je hierin volg.
    Ik zie dat jij ook de persoon bent boven mij die hoopte dat dit forum wat meer leven krijgt.. nou wellicht dat we er samen wat aan kunnen hebben.

    Een vriend van mij heeft een plukje aandelen van Global Blockchain. Hij geeft aan dat de aandelen gesplitst gaan worden. Dit doen ze vaak om meer geld te generen. Volgens mij ligt de handel ook al een flinke tijd stil. Ik weet niet of dit positief of negatief is.. We zullen dat even moeten afwachten.

    GBT zit ook op Facebook. Veel reclame, niet veel nieuws zo lijkt het. Het is vooral nog een gok.
    Na de split is de bubbel geklaard (zo zeggen ze) , en zitten we weer op een realistisch prijs.

    Even after a sharp correction earlier this year, the price of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies has remained unsustainably high, and techno-libertarians have continued to insist that blockchain technologies will revolutionize the way business is done. In fact, blockchain might just be the most over-hyped technology of all time.
    
    NEW YORK – Predictions that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will fail typically elicit a broader defense of the underlying blockchain technology. Yes, the argument goes, over half of all “initial coin offerings” to date have already failed, and most of the 1,500-plus cryptocurrencies also will fail, but “blockchain” will nonetheless revolutionize finance and human interactions generally.
    
    In reality, blockchain is one of the most overhyped technologies ever. For starters, blockchains are less efficient than existing databases. When someone says they are running something “on a blockchain,” what they usually mean is that they are running one instance of a software application that is replicated across many other devices.
    
    The required storage space and computational power is substantially greater, and the latency higher, than in the case of a centralized application. Blockchains that incorporate “proof-of-stake” or “zero-knowledge” technologies require that all transactions be verified cryptographically, which slows them down. Blockchains that use “proof-of-work,” as many popular cryptocurrencies do, raise yet another problem: they require a huge amount of raw energy to secure them. This explains why Bitcoin “mining” operations in Iceland are on track to consume more energy this year than all Icelandic households combined.
    
    Blockchains can make sense in cases where the speed/verifiability tradeoff is actually worth it, but this is rarely how the technology is marketed. Blockchain investment propositions routinely make wild promises to overthrow entire industries, such as cloud computing, without acknowledging the technology’s obvious limitations.
    
    Consider the many schemes that rest on the claim that blockchains are a distributed, universal “world computer.” That claim assumes that banks, which already use efficient systems to process millions of transactions per day, have reason to migrate to a markedly slower and less efficient single cryptocurrency. This contradicts everything we know about the financial industry’s use of software. Financial institutions, particularly those engaged in algorithmic trading, need fast and efficient transaction processing. For their purposes, a single globally distributed blockchain such as Ethereum would never be useful.
    
    Another false assumption is that blockchain represents something akin to a new universal protocol, like TCP-IP or HTML were for the Internet. Such claims imply that this or that blockchain will serve as the basis for most of the world’s transactions and communications in the future. Again, this makes little sense when one considers how blockchains actually work. For one thing, blockchains themselves rely on protocols like TCP-IP, so it isn’t clear how they would ever serve as a replacement.
