    Accsys: licentie-overeenkomst Accoya met Solvay-Rhodia

    AMSTERDAM (Dow Jones)--Accsys Technologies plc (AXS.LN) heeft een licentieovelreenkomst gesloten met Rhodia Acetow gmbh, onderdeel van Solvay sa (SOLB.BT), voor het gebruik van Accsys' Accoya-technologie, melden de bedrijven maandag.
    De licentie komt erop neer dat Solvay 15 jaar lang de exclusieve rechten krijgt voor de productie en verkoop van Accoya, een chemisch proces ter verduurzaming van hout, voor de landen Belgie, Ierland, Luxemburg, Nederland en het Verenigd Koninkrijk.
    De overeenkomst, die naar verwachting half 2013 in volle werking treedt, is afhankelijk van bepaalde groei- en marktbewerkingsverplichtingen. Accsys krijgt zowel licentie als royalty-betalingen, maar doet over de hoogte hiervan geen uitspraken.
    De koers van Accsys opent maandag in Amsterdam 1 eurocent ofwel 7,1% hoger op EUR0,15.

    Dit is goed nieuws! Inderdaad een grote partij dat Solvay.
    De vraag is wat de voorwaarden zijn geworden waarvoor het de exclusieve rechten heeft verworven. Daarnaast zijn het maar 4 landen waarvoor het de rechten heeft terwijl Solvay wereldwijd actief is.

    sell Accoya within the Council of Europe apart from Belgium, Ireland, Luxemburg, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

    Toen ik dat las dacht ik dat ze juist geen rechten hadden voor de bekende 4 landen. Dat zou beter zijn geweest. Volgens mij was het ook de bedoeling om voor heel europa een contract te maken + 25 jaar i.p.v. 15 jaar...

    Inderdaad, het DowJones persbericht klopt niet, ik zal ze even een mailtje sturen over deze kwalijke zaak. Ik heb nu namelijk net het officiele persbericht gelezen via de investor alert. Ik zal deze hieronder wel even plaatsen.

    Licence Agreement with Solvay-Rhodia
    Accsys is pleased to announce it has entered into a licence agreement with, Rhodia
    Acetow GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Solvay-Rhodia (“Solvay”) for the
    production and sale of Accoya®
    wood using Accsys’ proprietary acetylation
    technology (the “Technology”).
    Accsys previously announced comprehensive heads of terms following an earlier
    option agreement with a major multinational corporation. This resulting Accoya
    licence agreement reflects a significant amount of work from Accsys and Solvay and
    represents a commitment to the next stage in the successful commercialisation of
    Accoya and its acceptance as the globally recognised leading high technology, high
    performance, modified wood.
    Scope of agreement
    The licence provides for the conditional grant to Solvay of exclusive rights for a 15
    year period to produce and sell Accoya within the Council of Europe save for
    Belgium, Ireland, Luxemburg, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. This initial
    exclusive period is subject to certain growth and market development obligations
    being satisfied. In consideration of the grant of rights, Solvay shall pay to Accsys
    licence and royalty fees.
    The agreement allows for the construction of multiple Accoya production plants, with
    the first plant having an initial capacity of approximately 63,000 m³ of finished
    Accoya output.
    Both parties have been working together extensively in many areas. The engineering
    design of the plant has already commenced and the completion of the basic
    engineering plan is required and is yet to be completed. In addition Solvay has
    commissioned a detailed market promotion program in countries within its territory.
    The agreement is conditional on certain limited provisions being satisfied, including
    the formal approval of both Accsys and Solvay’s board of directors. Whilst there can

    Opmerkelijk dat de directies van beide bedrijven nog steeds een voorbehoud maken (ik citeer: "the agreement is conditional on certain limited provisions being satisfied" - dat is op zichzelf niet bijzonder - "including the formal approval of both Accsys and Solvay's board of directors"), terwijl er al wel mee naar buiten wordt gekomen. Nu moest Clegg natuurlijk wel iets melden, nog langer uitstel was onhoudbaar. Het is zonder meer positief nieuws, maar wel met een angel erin.

    Wat mij opvalt is dat er een continue stroom van positief nieuws Accsys treft.

    Je kunt je zeker wat vraagtekens stellen bij bepaalde zinsneden.

    Maar over de gehele linie genomen is het natuurlijk weer een bijzonder positieve ontwikkeling.

    Er broeit tenminste iets bij Accsys.
    Het bedrijf is springlevend met mooie producten.

    En volgens mij staan ze er financieel ook niet slecht voor.

    En het is een super duurzaam verhaal.
    Wat wil je aks belegger eigenlijk nog meer.

    Lastig te zeggen omdat er weinig vergelijkings materiaal is. In de deal met DW is afgesproken om, per m3, 25 eur voor accsys te rekenen.

    63.000M3* 25 = 1,5 milj. voor de eerste fabriek, er komen er nog meer.
    Over de licentie-inkomsten valt misschien wat te zeggen als de jaarrekening wordt gepubliceerd.

    Goed geregeld Libretto! Rest van Europa is natuurlijk veel beter omdat hier nog veel te winnen is en Arnhem dan mooi voor de Benelux en Engeland kan blijven leveren. De licentie staat de productie die accsys op dit moment zelfstandig draait dus niet in de weg.

    Tja, ik vind die Dowjones nieuwsdienst veel fouten maken....en in dit geval een grote fout...wel goed dat ze het direct aanpasten nadat ik een e-mail had gestuurd..maar een e-mail terug van ´´fijn dat u ons attendeert op verkeerde zaken´´ laten ze dan wel weer achterwege.
