    Shell sluit waterstoftankstations in Californië, nadat ze eerder de nieuwbouw van nieuwe stations al hadden afgezegd: de zoveelste tegenslag voor een technolgie die 't nooit gaat worden.

    Waterstof is al decennialang de belofte voor schoon en comfortabel personenvervoer. Steeds is er weer een opleving, steeds lopen partijen tegen dezelfde bezwaren aan en steeds lijken ze het toch opnieuw te proberen. Engeland is van 11 naar 5 laadstations terug gegaan, Californië staat op het punt om van de 42 stations die er nu staan 7 te verliezen die door Shell geopereerd worden.

    Fusion Fuel Receives Notification of IPCEI Approval from European Commission for 630 MW HEVO-Portugal Project

    SABUGO, Portugal, Feb. 16, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Fusion Fuel (NASDAQ: HTOO) (the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has received notification from the European Commission that the Company’s HEVO-Portugal project was among 33 selected for approval under the Important Projects of Common European Interest (“IPCEI”) Hy2Infra program. The €650 million, 630 MW project is to be developed in Sines, Portugal, and would produce 62,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per annum. A portion of the green hydrogen is expected to be used in the production of green ammonia and exported from the Port of Sines to the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands. The balance would be consumed by industrial customers in the domestic Portuguese market.

    The IPCEI approval positions Fusion Fuel and its partners to commence funding negotiations with the relevant government stakeholders, as well as with the European Investment Bank, which has committed to providing financing and advisory support to those projects selected for public funding.

    Frederico Figueira de Chaves, CEO of Fusion Fuel, stated, “This is a game changing achievement for Fusion Fuel, solidifying our position amongst the leading companies in the green hydrogen industry.     Large-scale hydrogen salt caverns to be developed by Gasunie and Storag Etzel

    Gasunie and Storag Etzel have agreed to develop 1TWh capacity large-scale hydrogen storage caverns in the Etzel salt dome.

    Located in the German state of Lower Saxony, the caverns will be connected to the Dutch and German hydrogen market and close to the future Gasunie hydrogen network HyPerLink and the Port of Wilhelmshaven.

    AMSTERDAM - Gasunie gaat waterstof opslaan in Duitse zoutcavernes. Dat moet tot meer capaciteit aan schone energie voor de industrie en uiteindelijk tienduizenden huishoudens leiden.

    Ook maar even hier. Of aandeelhouders van een pril en gesubsidieerd waterstofaandeel Agfa-Gevaert er blij mee zijn is een tweede, en op dagbasis valt het niet zo op, maar de koers van Agfa-Gevaert (in euro) gaat de laatste tijd globaal toch alvast steeds meer op die van Nel (in Noorse kronen) lijken:

    Waterstof: Belgische ontdekking kan revolutie in autosector veroorzaken
    De toekomst van mobiliteit is niet alleen batterij-elektrisch. Ook andere technologieën, zoals waterstof, blijven een piste. Dat blijkt nogmaals nu onderzoekers van de UCLouvain een nieuwe stof ontwikkeld hebben die twee keer zo veel waterstof kan opslaan. Een revolutie?
