    Zuinige Hollanders/Europa durven niet meer in ASML, hebben hoogtevrees. Sterker nog, positief bericht van Moodys zorgt voor uitstapgedrag ??!! Amerikanen staan nu op... lezen de positieve draai bij Moody's en gaan vanmiddag de kooplust aanwakkeren.

    Of course, if you still don't realize the "cloud technology" is, roughly speaking, just a last century technology (that some people are trying to sell you now) --> i.e. just a "data-storage" (library) on a large (central) server, instead of your own PC --> then you should certainly go on with paying/investing in last century.

    ASML op dit moment weer mooi in de plus. Het sentiment in de VS gaat ook weer de goede kant op. Ben benieuwd naar de cijfers van de giganten vandaag. Als die positief zijn gaat ASML ook verder omhoog.

    If you take the storage angle, yes, but not if you take computing as the angle. That is where chip performance comes into play, AWS Lambda ,for example, will prove to be even more successful when performance is scaled quicker. Packaged based F&F or F&R API-like produces will use local or cloud storage based data (or a combination) but after 1-1-2019 no in-house complex computing will be done unless it is in need of NSA-grade security stuff.

    Now let's stop the measuring of bodyparts and get back on topic, shall we?

    Zal ik het dan voortaan maar in het Portugees doen (dat is de taal hier in de Algarve).

    interessant stukje van TSMC... in t frans...! Geeft technisch inzicht in hun voortgang bij 7nm met EUV, dat soort info hoort in dit draadje thuis.

    Ik had eerder al eens in het 2017 ASML draadje genoemd dat Samsung (zij zijn de echte voorlopers) zn voortgang zou melden bij de ISSCC 2018 conference, een mekka voor silicon specialists. Heeft iemand hier connecties met bezoekers aldaar?

    In het programma van de conference: submissions.mirasmart.com/ISSCC2018/P... vind je op blz 28 de aankondiging van het verhaal over hun 7nm testchip (een SRAM, relatief eenvoudige yield analyses). Veel bijdragers aan hun paper, wellicht wordt daar naast info over het design ook meer gemeld over testresultaten, uptime van de EUV stepper, # waferstarts, procesbeschrijving, met name hoeveel processtappen in het Samsung worden bespaard door toepassing van de ASML machines tov conventionele belichting in een 7nm proces, outlook etc etc.

    Excuus allen - ik zal vanaf nu in het NL posten ;-) is een gewoonte in mijn werk om response te geven in de taal die geschreven is. #aanpassen, niet zo moeilijk.
